Here is our recent interview with Jesse Goodwick, Director of Operations at Team Phun:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company? 

A: Team Phun is a brand-building and promotional products company operating in San Diego, California and Charleston, South Carolina. Our team consists of brand consultants and designers who invest in education, technology, and product trends to deliver the best service & products in the industry. We were founded on the principles of having ‘phun’. We spell it with a ‘ph’ because everyone likes to have phun in their own way, so we started by developing custom products tailored to all demographics.  

Team Phun has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades; recently ranked 2nd fastest growing distributor by Print + Promo Marketing Magazine. Team Phun has also been honored for two consecutive years among the top 10 branding companies in the United States and is a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI 342550) and Promotional Products Association International (PPAI 728829).

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?  

A: After being in business for 8 years, we are extremely excited about promoting our first group of managers within our team. In that group, we are recognizing Brittany Aanestad as the first Brand Sales Manager who is overseeing Brand Consultants on both East and West Coast teams. With a background in hospitality, sales, and marketing, Brittany is a motivated leader and valuable asset to Team Phun,  “Each role prior to Team Phun only prepared me to dive into the biggest, and most exciting, challenge of my career when joining the phun phamily mid-2020.” Already building and pushing our Brand Consultants, Brittany is “excited for a new chapter of working alongside passionate, dedicated, driven and phun individuals that are eager to learn and grow. I am equally excited to see the new levels that I will be pushed to professionally, as well as the building on the invaluable partnerships with our customers and operational partners.”

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: As a promotional products company, it’s difficult to truly explain everything that we are capable of, which is why we typically break our services into six main offerings:

  • Branded Apparel – at Team Phun, we have over 20 years of combined experience with branded apparel decoration solutions from screen printing and embroidery to DTG processing.
  • Custom Wearable Programs – Through our comprehensive design process with in-house designers and knowledgeable brand consultants, we can make any custom wearable dream come true! Whether it be fully custom headwear, sweatshirts or accessories, we can work with you to build specific products for your brand.
  • Custom Merchandise – From branded drinkware to custom patches and pins, to personalized bags and more, we can help you make the right decisions for your custom merch assortment. “Out there” ideas are our specialty!
  • Signage and Displays – Whether it’s as small as a pop-up display or as large as a complete trade show layout, we are able to produce experiential events that will generate leads, promote brand awareness and increase product adoption, from the ground up.
  • Fulfillment Options – Whether you  are a new client or looking to expand with us, we can help buil;d an e-commerce site or manage your site by updating inventory to store and ship when orders come in.
  • Design Services – From logos to custom artwork and branding guidelines, our in-house design team can help push your brand to the next level for whatever stage you are at. 

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Team Phun is built on the mission of delivering the highest level of value to our clients’ brands, events, and campaigns, by combining employee education, disruptive technology, and creating unique supply chain solutions. What we see is a need for more one-stop-shop agencies, and we are hoping to be that for our clients. We have recently acquired an Experiential Marketing service, Phun for All, that curates authentic experiences by connecting brands with their consumer audiences through on and off premise activations, merchandising and sales support, event and trade show support, and so much more.  We are also working on expanding our fulfillment program with a new warehouse being built for our East Coast team that will be able to store and fulfill more merchandise so that we can manage that headache for our clients.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: The people that make up this team are what truly keep me and the other owners going. Our team of Brand Consultants are all passionate about the brands that they get to work with and their excitement to come to work every day is extremely inspirational. Our Operations team has grown into its own and keeps our processes running smoothly ensuring that every project is up to our high standards. The Design Services team is a creative powerhouse of individuals that love working directly with our clients to get the bigger picture behind the design and to ensure our clients’ visions come to life. Without every individual we wouldn’t truly be Team Phun, and we are very grateful for them all.
