Below is our recent interview with Mark Fox, the Founder & CEO at Kahunas:

Q: Mark, can you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Kahunas.io?

A: I have worked in the fitness industry for the last 15 years helping to scale digital brands and apps to 7 figures and beyond. I became known as the guy behind the apps, building out the operational infrastructure from dev teams to marketing, and defining the business strategy to scale each business. Coaches would contact me asking for their own app, of course when I replied with a figure of $200k to get started I would soon get ghosted, having your own app requires massive investment and so I thought I need to create something for coaches to help them steam line and grow their business without costing them a small fortune.

Kahunas became more than a  business idea in lockdown; As traditional fitness spaces closed, Kahunas launched and in 3 years has grown rapidly to over 5,000 coaches and 150,000 end-users (2023 we grew by 900%) facilitating a new era of digital fitness and wellness. Our platform is designed for personalization and ease, and has become the go-to for trainers looking to maintain and build their client relationships online.

Q: What can we expect from Kahunas in the next 12 months? What are your plans?

A: First up is the launch of our brand new nutrition update, currently scheduled for release by the end of Q1. This will make us 1 of the only coaching platforms to have a 100% verified nutrition database in the UK, USA, Australia and Canada with over 1.4m foods, 800k barcodes and 3,000+ restaurant foods.

Our bigger picture goal for 2024 is the implementation of AI by fine-tuning proprietary AI models to provide predictive health outcomes based on biometric feedback from user wearables, nutrition and workout logs. This isn’t just data analytics; it’s about empowering coaches to make informed, intelligent decisions, transforming how services are delivered and results are achieved for their clients.

..but most importantly, over the next 12 months we will continue to build relationships with our coaches, maintaining an open line of communication so that we can develop the platform around their needs.

Q: What is the best thing about Kahunas that people might not know about?

A: We are 100% self funded and owned with no outside interests, ensuring that our coaches are the primary driver and focus point of everything we do.

Our platform development operates around a voting system for new features, whereby coaches can submit their ideas, other coaches can vote on the ones they want next, and when our next development slot opens up, we pick the most popular ones to develop.
