Below is our recent interview with Claudio David,  CEO and Founder of Kibe Software House:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Kibe Software House is an Italian videogame developer that focuses on single-player Anime-style games. Our motto is “Let’s give Anime a Gameplay”, as we want our products to replicate the Japanese animation style so accurately that a 3D model just looks like is 2D-animated.

On top of this animation technique, we truly believe that players must be rewarded for their passion, so we created a real-reward achievement system based on collectible cards and their NFT counterpart. This is what distinguish us most, as we are introducing an actual connection between dev house and single-player gamers.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: Since we are at the very beginning, we started a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for our first project: Arcadia.

This is a 2.5D Metroidvania with whom we want to show our Anime-based style and want people know about our real-reward achievement system by distributing the first part of our collection as an early-bird gift.

We want these perks to be really rare and only those who believed in us from the very beginning managed to get one. By doing so, we are actually telling how this system works, as only those who show real interest gets the most valuable items.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Arcadia is a 2.5D adventure game that follows three characters in a fast-action journey. Every character has unique abilities and exclusive paths that can overcome and players must mix their abilities to reach every corner of the world.

We have 3D models but we are heavily focus on trying to reproduce a 2D-like animation. We do so by applying 2D animation theories on 3D models: 3D animation software simplify animation process by filling the gap between a keyframe and the next. We remove this “fillers” in order to get a step-moted animation that looks really like a 2D Japanese Anime. On top of that, flat colours and shaders complete the cartoon-like aesthetics and we get this unique result.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Arcadia development is still long and we plan to launch the final product on February 2023.

Before that, we aim to present our first trailer by June 2022 that shows actual game parts, models and environments. We will keep our followers updated through our social pages and website.

The Indiegogo campaign will end by the first end of May and we plan to extend our crowdfunding research beyond that.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: The Kibe Master Collection, our real-reward achievement system, is what we are really proud of. This is dedicated to players who want to be acknowledged of their achievements and get an actual trophy to collect and share once they complete the game.

“Prove you did it.” is the Master Collection motto, as we want players to know they can prove their passion and dedication to videogame. This collection is shared with our future projects and those who believed in us today will prove they did tomorrow.

Being an early-bird is not only an opportunity to get pre-release contents, but the only way to get the full collection once our next project will come to life.
