Below is our recent interview with Greg Animed, the Founder at Animed Brazil:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Animed Brazil was designed to bring the highest level of technology in orthopedic devices to Brazil. While I was giving a lot of lectures to Brazil and Latin American general, but mainly Brazil, I saw frustration where Brazilians would attend Congresses here in the United States. See a new device or a product and then not be able to bring it into their country because of the bureaucracy and the cost. So we, our company has streamlined the bureaucracy and cost component. And we are able to bring products in to Brazil, get them approved through Anvisa. And then into the marketplace. So we’re very excited with that.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: The highlights on our recent announcement is that we are in our third month in launching one of these products which is the AlignMed project. AlignMed is a medical device. These are garments that correct posture. They have an FDA registry in the United States along with a CE registry in Europe. And an Anvisa registry in in Brazil through our company Animed Brazil. These products have been on the market for almost 10 years. There are nine Institutional Review Board studies to show its safety and efficacy. A lot of doctors in orthopedics, particularly spine and shoulder, use this device in the shoulder. It has applications I have experienced in my personal practice.

Where it can help avoid surgery in cases of torn labrum and partial thickness rotator cuff tears or chronic rotator cuff tears that are irreparable.

There’s also benefits with people with spine pathology that have pain. So we’re very excited in launching this new product to Brazil and we just we just launched it this within the last three months.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: With respect to more insights into our offering. Again, our goal is to bring cutting edge technology that’s from the United States into Brazil, so we ensure that we’re bringing in American quality, American technology and an American price, and that’s what we’re able to do with the alignment project.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: In the next six months, we’re focused on the AlignMed project. We plan to grow and scale. Primarily we’re online and we’re reaching people to public appeal and public messaging, we do have plans also to form strategic partnerships in the next six months along with the fact that we are also looking at bringing our spinal cue product into hospital sectors and to work with reputable distributors as well to bring that part product into the market as well that we have a registry for. It’s our hospital heavier grade product. It has the same mechanism of action as the posture, shirt and garments. However, it’s thicker and it has a more robust response to posture.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: The best thing about our company is we embrace the best of both worlds. And I do believe as an American, there’s a love affair between Brazil and the United States. I think Americans love Brazil and Brazilians love the United States. I think we bring out the best in both countries. United States is known for its technology and technological advancements.

But also compassion and we have compassion. And we, we want to be able to bring about an impact. And we feel that our product can plug a lot of gaps in Brazil, one in particular, is that sometimes in the public system, there’s waiting lines for people that have surgery. And so, our product could alleviate pain without becoming dependent on pain medicine, avoiding another problem and maybe even wanting surgery altogether.

With respect to the component’s aspects of Brazil that our company embraces, we have a lot of bright, young, talented and energetic people that are really excited to be on board and really drive the company in terms of energy. And we feel that they represent the top group of Brazilian workers, and we’re very blessed to have that. We also have some amazing partnerships. We work with the Neymar Institute, we have a relationship with them, that’s a very nice partnership.

We have a relationship and a contract with Chicago Brass who’s an Olympic Gold medalist in 2016 and a bronze medalist in 2022 for the pole vault. He’s one of our people that we work with. We work with Nicole Bahls, Gabi Martins. So, we have an amazing group of Brazilians that work with us, and we´re very proud of that. I´m equally proud of my staff that come to work every day with energy and zeal, and are always looking to make the company better and more importantly they´re always looking to help the clients, who are in many cases, patients. And for that reason, most of our employees are in the health care field, they´re either nurses or physical therapists, and I´m very proud of that as well. Animed Brasil is a very interesting business model, it brings the best of USA to Brazil, and the Brazilian energy itself, so we get the best of both worlds, and it´s a really great environment and I´m very proud to not only have found it but to be a part of it.
