Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Poom is on a mission to bring food-sharing to the forefront and encourage personal connections between neighbors. We make the process easy and fun for neighbors to give and receive homebaked goods for free through an App.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
- A: Closed Pre-Seed funding a few months ago.
- App launched 4 months ago in the NY/NJ area.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Anyone can bake and post on Poom to be claimed by nearby neighbors within 24 hours. It’s a place for hobby bakers to showcase new recipes for tasting, seasoned chefs to give back to the community, foodies to taste one-of-a-kind delicacies from home-kitchens, and for neighbors to learn about each others’ stories and cultures through food.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
- A: Launch a forum feature for members to connect online.
- Focus on user acquisition and brand awareness through social media.
- Host events for members to meet and socialize in-person.
- Fundraise the Seed round.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Poom is short for ’Poom-ah-shi’ is a culture where neighbors share labor, talents, and resources as a community in Korea. We hope to create this culture of generosity in our neighborhoods through food-sharing. Join us to experience more abundant, delicious, sustainable, and connected neighborhoods.
