Below is our recent interview with Michael Stover, Founder at MTS Management Group:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Certainly! I founded MTS Management Group in 2010. I am a music industry veteran of over 30 years, and I am a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, with a degree specializing in the Music and Video business. I used that education to gain a wealth of experience within the industry: from retail music manager and DJ, to two-time Billboard Magazine Contest winning songwriter, performer and chart-topping producer, and finally, award-winning artist manager, publicist, promoter and label president.
Q: Any highlights on your company?
A: So many highlights! Here are just a few: In just 12 years, we’ve released 40+ Top 40 New Music Weekly country chart singles, including FIFTEEN #1s and 8 Top 85 Music Row chart singles. We’ve also promoted 60+ Top 40 itunes chart singles, including 60+ Top 5s and 40+ #1s, AND a Top 5 Billboard Magazine chart hit! I’ve written columns featured in Hypebot, Music Think Tank, and Fair Play Country Music, among others. I’m a 2020 Hermes Creative Awards Winner and a 2020 dotComm Awards Winner for marketing and communication.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: yes, we do publicity and promotions for indie artists and labels…write and distribute press releases, secure interviews, reviews, articles on all media types from blogs, websites to TV, Radio and more. We do spotify playlist and iTunes chart promotion, radio promotion, and influencer campaigns. I have a great relationship with some licensing companies, that have allowed our artists to have their music used in TV and films. Our record label distributes our clients’ music through Sony orchard. There is just so much more that we do…pretty all inclusive.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We have plans to continue the same successful business model, while always keeping our eye on cutting edge methods and new outlets for exposure. Plenty of radio and retail releases…
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: That I am on a mission to help indie artists succeed. I want to get them the same coverage and exposure that major artists get, for a fraction of the cost. I re-invest into my artists. I consider it an honor and privilege, a blessing, to do what I do for my artists. I am answering to a higher calling.
