Below is our recent interview with Kodie Dower, Media relations manager at NinjaRMM:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: NinjaRMM is a modern IT management solution for managed service providers (MSPs) and IT professionals. Our technology makes it possible to remotely control and manage fleets of distributed devices from a single pane of glass. From patch management to cloud backups, IT documentation, device configuration, and more, NinjaRMM’s platform reduces the time, effort, and complexity of IT management.

NinjaRMM was founded in 2013 by Sal Sferlazza and co-founders AJ Singh and Eric Herrera. The company operated in stealth until late 2015 when the company launched its core remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform. Since then, Sal has led the company’s product strategy and international growth. Now, NinjaRMM has achieved product parity with our closest competitors, introduced Ninja Data Protection and Ninja Documentation, a cloud-backup and IT documentation solution, respectively, and has scaled to more than 5,000 customers and 2.5 million endpoints managed.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: This recent announcement highlights our ever-growing footprint in the central Texas region and our growth as a company with the hiring of Houston-based Chief Technology Officer Shane Stevens and the opening of NinjaRMM’s downtown Austin office.

NinjaRMM has always embraced remote work and was able to transition to a fully remote workforce with ease once the COVID-19 pandemic began. With this news, we’re showing that teams and talent can be developed from anywhere and that a hybrid remote office environment is something employees want and a new reality for IT management.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: NinjaRMM’s core product offerings feature a robust suite of tools designed to make IT management easier, less complex, and more secure. With the RMM, users can manage everything from patch management, antivirus configurations, new device set-ups, software management, reporting, alerting, and much more.

Ninja Data Protection, our cloud-based file & folder backup solution, is designed as a simple to use, purpose-built solution that is fast, secure, and flexible. Ninja Data Protection is a ‘set and forget’ solution that scans endpoints and detects file changes so only files that have changed are backed up. With just a few clicks users can set up smart scheduling, built in compression, and block-level backups to protect client data without impacting client networks. All data is encrypted in-motion and at-rest via secure AES 256-bit end-to-end encryption. Ninja’s security practices adhere to and exceed the strictest standards for data protection compliance practices.

Ninja Documentation is a powerful documentation feature that allows MSPs and IT departments to easily codify critical information about the IT environments they manage. With it, users can create custom fields to collect, store, and document information at the organizational and global levels. NinjaRMM also provides out-of-the-box documentation templates for active directory, security, and vendor management to make it easy for users to start documenting critical information. Documentation data is accessible via scripts and the NinjaRMM API.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: NinjaRMM continues to grow at a rapid pace and we expect to add hundreds of more customers in the next 6 months. Along with the recent opening of our Austin headquarters, we plan to aggressively hire across all departments and internationally.

From a product standpoint, users can expect our 5.2.1 platform update and one more platform update before the end of the year. NinjaRMM is also developing multiple new products that it will unveil over the next 6 months.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: NinjaRMM is truly committed to supporting our partners and it comes through from every interaction with our employees. We’ve built an internal support team that focuses on transformational exchanges versus transactional exchanges and that’s helped our users better understand how to use our platform and connect with NinjaRMM’s staff as people. Customer support at NinjaRMM is consistently ranked as a top reason why people love to do business with the company and it’s because they can trust their contributions and pain points are taken seriously and addressed in the product.
