Below is our recent interview with Tayyab Jamil, Partner at Firewood:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: We are technology and consulting firm that helps individuals, teams and organisations deliver successful projects. We do this by providing our clients tools and services that we have developed based on our practical insights, experience and knowledge of internationally recognised best practice – which our team helped develop.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Working with LLWR is such a great opportunity for us to showcase the range of skills and value that we can bring to organisations that are serious about improving their capability to manage projects, programmes and portfolios. We are looking forward to developing a long and trusted relationship and contribute to improving how nuclear waste is managed in the UK and internationally.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: We have four main service lines that integrate seamlessly to address the key components of change: shaping programmes; coordinating teams; and delivering value to our customers, their customers and their stakeholders:
1. Strategy and start up – Helping organisations create a roadmap and set up an operating model for success 2. Assess and improve – Working with teams to improve performance and increase value 2. Review and recover – Giving senior managers confidence on how their initiatives are performing 3. Lead and deliver – Bringing our tools and expertise to our client’s most challenging initiatives
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We are currently working with a number of clients in various industries – particularly in financial services, utilities, central government and obviously now nuclear and infrastructure. All client needs are unique in some way but they share with us a passion for continuous improvement and creating a high performance culture – which fits in with our mission perfectly. We’re also continuing to develop our digital tools, such as FAST, which is getting some great feedback from our early adopters some of whom are Fortune 500 firms.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: We pride ourselves on being fun to work with and value driven. This is not something we just say as “value statements” – we all genuinely just want to deliver value to our clients and have a good time doing it!
