Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: VitalConnect was founded in 2011 by Dr. Nersi Nazari with a vision to change the paradigm of healthcare. His goal was to develop a band-aid sized patch that captures key patient vitals, creating a new world of information with predictive data analytics to provide caregivers with the information they need to advance patient outcomes and minimize the cost of delivering healthcare.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: VitalConnect has had several recent announcements including: the introduction of its mobile cardiac telemetry system in May of this year, the launch of VitalPatch RTM late last year – for patients needing extended Holter monitoring, and most recently the decision by Aetna to cover the full breadth of VitalConnect’s offerings for Aetna members.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: VitalConnect offers remote patient monitoring and cardiac monitoring capabilities. VitalConnect’s cardiac monitoring solution consists of four components: 1) VitalPatch RTM: a wireless, disposable, biosensor which can be used to monitor ECG, vital signs, and 21 cardiac arrhythmias; 2) VistaPhone: mobile device to relay information from patch to cloud in real time, and 3) VistaCenter: a central monitoring interface providing physician’s 24/7 access to real-time and historic patient data through a secure URL and 4) a dedicated, independent diagnostic testing facility.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: VitalConnect continues to partner with healthcare systems to bring its solutions to patients. The company is continually iterating on its unique technology in addition to partnering with leading pharmaceutical companies on use of the VitalConnect technology in groundbreaking clinical trials.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: VitalConnect is engaged in numerous partnerships with other leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies to provide the healthcare industry with the predictive data analytics it needs to reduce expenses, increase efficiency, provide better care–and most important of all, to enhance and save lives.
