Below is our recent interview with Mitchell Fly, CEO & President at Footy Intl:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Footy Intl started off as a way our friends could individualize their photos while traveling by simply sticking their foot into the frame. We decided to build on this love of travel and the outdoors by creating something that actively supports the environment—sustainable, USA-made apparel.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: With our recent announcements, the largest takeaway is that we’ve got our full production order of socks in stock and have been selling them out a lot more quickly than we’d expected. We’ve sold all the way from the Big Apple to the Alaskan coast, and all of the feedback has been amazing. As we continue to sell, the number we get to donate on behalf of the Footy Intl Family grows, which we absolutely love seeing.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: The main items we have listed on our website right now are The Switzerlands and The Cape Towns. Both of these products are manufactured in North Carolina out of Repreve, a yarn that comes from recycled plastic bottles. It sounds strange at first, but the ability to convert plastic bottles that take up so much space in landfills into socks that are worn around the world is something that will never stop amazing me.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: In the next 6 months, we’ll be releasing two different shirt styles we developed with our other manufacturer out in California, and we’ll be ramping up our production to meet the high demand we’re experiencing. For 2022, we’ve set a goal of donating $5,000 through the charitable branch of our company, the Footy Initiative. Every single purchase adds to that goal and we’re so unbelievably excited to see our community come together to help the environment even further.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: With every purchase, we send a handwritten thank you card expressing our gratitude—not only for supporting us, but for supporting a fully sustainable USA-made supply chain and our ecosystems worldwide. Receiving letters and postcards has always impacted my co-founder Drew and me greatly, so we love getting to send these out to our customers nationwide in hopes of spreading that same positivity.
