Below is our recent interview with John A. Michalek, Chief Executive Officer at Zebra Analytix:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company? 

A: Zebra Analytix is focused on miniaturized chromatography systems and components utilizing patented MEMS technology.  These items include Gas Chromatographs, Separation Columns, Pre-Concentrators, and Detectors.  The goal is to provide hand-held analysis capabilities for applications that in the past did not have a solution including air, water, food, and human diseases.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement? 

A: After two years with an interim CEO, Zebra has progressed closer to commercialization which instigated the need to hire its first full-time CEO to focus on growth and market acceptance.  We are now moving into the next stage of our company.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: We will be targeting point-of-need breath and skin analysis for immediate detection of VOCs that identify diseases and cancers.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We will be introducing our first mini-GC, the SentinelGCTM, that will sell for under $8,000 and bring the first phase of our technology to fruition.
