Below is our recent interview with Katie Barbera from WellAware:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: WellAware is an integrated, modern technology stack that allows businesses to monitor critical equipment for safer, more sustainable, more efficient operations. Paired with unwavering support and a common-sense business model, our platform delivers guaranteed actionable data at a lower total cost than traditional monitoring systems.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: WellAware uses embedded connectivity in Airbox air purifiers that monitors air purifier status and allows facilities managers and building occupants to remote control and manage purifiers, set purification schedules, and get filter change alerts. It’s perfect for cost-conscious building managers who need to manage multiple air purifiers in one spot.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Our platform has been focused on creating connectivity solutions mobile, portable air purifiers, as we saw a tremendous increase in demand for these types of filters during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As most are aware, the worst of COVID-19 is now past us. However, the ramifications of life in a pandemic will persist into the future. In particular, people are now more aware than ever of the importance of indoor air quality.
Our goal with PureAware is to continue to support awareness about and control over indoor air quality by partnering with more air purification manufacturers, and not just on portable air purifiers. We see opportunities to make indoor air quality monitoring and awareness an embedded component of commercial and residential HVAC systems. We are excited to continue to pursue opportunities to connect building managers and occupants to their air quality – and the systems that make better quality possible – with additional embedded partnerships.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: We are relentless in our pursuit of data quality. We realize that most of our customers don’t want the hassle of managing equipment monitoring infrastructure, so we take that off their plate and serve up high-quality data streams that they can trust. We are responsible for making sure that data gets exactly where it needs to go, and that it is both accurate and timely.
Our embedded monitoring systems for PureAware, as well as our line of industrial equipment monitors and controllers, are designed to deliver ultra-reliable data streams that empower better decision making and analytics. In fact, we are so confident in the quality of our connections that we offer the market’s only “Edge Service Level Agreement” – that is, we guarantee the quality of data all the way from machine to screen. Our customers get over 99.98% of the data they expect, and if they don’t, they don’t pay for it.
