Below is our recent interview with William E. Quigley Co-Founder at WAX Studios:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: WAX Studios is a developer and publisher of games which utilize the WAX Blockchain. It’s mission is to showcase and highlight the potential of games leveraging the WAX Blockchain.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: The partnership between WAX Blockchain and Binance NFT will allow ‘Blockchain Brawlers’ users to transfer NFTs used in the game interchangeably between Binance Smart Chain and WAX blockchain through the NFT bridge developed by WAX.
We believe being able to transfer NFTs used in games to other blockchains through bridges will bring the GameFi industry to the next level. With the free transfers of NFTs, the global mass adoption rate of gaming NFTs will increase.
In addition we are doing something which as far as we are aware of is unique in the blockchain gaming space so far–selling unique 1 of 1 PFPs which are not just PFPs or just provide the right to access a game, but is an actual usable Legendary class item in the game that will impact gameplay.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: We will be auctioning off the first 100 unique 1 of 1 PFPs on Binance NFT marketplace this month. Next month we will start auctioning additional unique 1 of 1 PFPs on the WAX blockchain through wdny.io. That will be followed by pack sales of other NFTs needed to play the game and then the launch of the Blockchain Brawlers game in second half of Q1 2022.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: In addition to Blockchain Brawlers we have several other games in development which will be launching the first half of 2022 which will showcase a wide variety of gameplay mechanics.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: The company is led by game industry veterans all of whom individually have over 10 years of executive level experience at game developers and publishers and who collectively have over 60 years of experience in game development and publishing.
