Below is our recent interview with Joshua Resnick, CEO and Co-Founder at Parallel Flight Technologies:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Parallel Flight Technologies develops advanced autonomous, heavy-lift, vertical flight systems that can be deployed at scale. Our UAS are powered by a patented new propulsion technology that offers a nearly 10x performance boost, enabling longer endurance for heavy lift operations; which will be transformative for multiple market segments including industrial and medical logistics, public safety, military, and agriculture.

Our company is on a mission to Save Lives, Property, and the Environment with our vertical lift technology

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: The recent launch of our European office in The Netherlands is an important milestone for Parallel Flight, and the first step in solidifying our global footprint across multiple industries. We are thrilled to have seasoned aviation executive, Chris Krajewski, leading the accelerated deployment of our autonomous aerial solutions across Europe. This will ultimately provide easy access to our portfolio of solutions as we advance our mission to help customers with vertical lift requirements.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: At Parallel Flight we are developing cost effective and sustainable solutions to radically reduce carbon emissions from operations normally utilizing helicopters, help prevent mega-fires, and improve forest sustainability.

Our Firefly aircraft is a revolutionary UAS combining extreme heavy lifting and long flight duration. Patented Parallel Hybrid Electric Multirotor (PHEM) drone technology gives the platform the capability of lifting almost its own mass in payload for nearly two hours. It is also fully redundant and can continue flying in the event of an engine failure. This opens new possibilities for unstaffed logistics, search-and-rescue, firefighting, and heavy sensor applications.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We anticipate many exciting things on the horizon for Parallel Flight, including strengthening our international expansion strategy with the opening of offices in new countries, scaling our propulsion technology to power an Octocopter that can carry around 500 lb, and extending flight range and endurance for 3rd party VTOL platforms via hybridization. We are also looking forward to announcing key partnerships and conducting some awesome real-world customer demonstrations.

We’ve also recently entered into a fire tech development partnership with Grayback Forestry, a leader in the wildfire suppression and forest restoration industry. We look forward to working with Grayback to customize and deploy PFT’s multipurpose UAS platforms for aerial ignitions, tactical resupply operations, and a whole host of related fire support operations in line with Grayback’s mission.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: The best thing about Parallel Flight is the team behind the scenes! Our engineers are the backbone of the company, constantly innovating, to take our vertical-lift solutions to the next level. Brilliant and humorous, they manage to have fun even in the midst of an intense development regime. One great example is when they tuned our drone to play the Top Gun song with its propellers to demonstrate the amazing control and responsiveness of our aircraft.
