He understands that healthcare infrastructure is subject to complex demands, making it a challenge to update. Q: What are your plans?

A: The increase of connected devices within the medical field is also increasing the workload of IT professionals in healthcare. This problem is causing data to being moved to the cloud or edge networks for more flexibility, better performance, and increased cost savings. Some healthcare IT departments aren’t used to this much data, which is why some of it will go into offsite data centers. Although some of the data will be moved, the most important data will have to stay on-premises because of security and HIPAA protocol. My job is to consult with organizations and help them to make the right decisions when it comes to workloads that should stay on-site and those that need to move to an off-site Volico Data Center. Volico has quickly become more advanced in its operations and the organizations that need some extra help have turned to hybrid infrastructures.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: The colocation data center is not obsolete. Volico has developed leading-edge technology to support clients that need flexibility, agility, speed to market coupled with security and reliability.  It’s amazing what intelligent technology advancements can accomplish. For these technologies to continue to work, data centers will need to innovate and make sure they are ready for the data surrounding these devices. Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, virtualization, edge computing, and a software-defined data center are only the beginning. The future is exciting and we’re eager to see what technological evolutions will be and how it will impact the healthcare industry.
