Below is our recent interview with Yossi Aldar, Founder & CEO at OmnySense:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: OmnySense is a startup in the Digital Health field which has developed an integrated device/IoT/cloud system for tracking health parameters and deriving actionable data from them – primarily oriented towards adults and the elderly. The device component is shaped like (and used like) a digital thermometer, but in just 30 seconds it performs a complete remote checkup. Our potential customers range from patients who wish to improve their healthcare from the comfort of their own homes, through to healthcare services who wish to offer ongoing monitoring and care to their customers.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We are starting to form marketing alliances with US companies in order to penetrate a series of different market niches. Texas Medical Technology (TMT) is a leading supplier to US hospitals that is expanding into the digital health area. We are looking to TMT to spearhead our charge into this market.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Placing the OmnySense device in the mouth for 30 seconds – just like when using a regular thermometer – enables temperature, ECG, lung sounds, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and SpO2 to all be measured simultaneously. This data is seamlessly and automatically relayed into the OmnySense Cloud for storage and in-depth analysis.
The unique approach to remote patient monitoring being pioneered by OmnySense has the potential to be at the forefront of the Digital Health revolution.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We expect to firm up our market entry plans for rolling out our system in the various market segments that we have identified while preparing our system for FDA regulatory approvals.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: OmnySense is uniquely transforming the simplest and most familiar medical device – the thermometer – into a multi-parameter, connected health-tracking solution. Our vision is that the OmnySense Device will gradually replace the regular thermometer in every home to track and store key health parameters. The ability to share this data and their trends with healthcare providers (e.g. prior to a Telemedicine session) will fulfill the promise of Telehealth: Providing remote patient care to mass populations, where this care is as good as a face-to-face appointment.
