Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

Q: Any highlights on your recent software launch? 

A: Our LOGiX™ platform delivers a robust software solution for one call, location and excavation services, mapping & GIS, continuous intelligence (CI), analytics and reporting for those organizations looking to provide safe environments for their workers and surrounding communities.

Norfield developed the LOGiX software platform due to the overwhelming need to provide seamless automation in locating utilities underground to keep people safe. In a recent study, it was found that $61 Billion is lost annually to waste and inefficiencies of the systems for damage prevention.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Accuracy during digging is essential. One human error could mean the difference between security and disaster. To provide service that is both secure and precise, your dig markings need to be exact. You should always take more options to ensure dig safety, and here is how our software can help.

We work with state 811 notification centers to manage 811 requests from locators, excavators and homeowners. Without the proper software to submit these tickets, notification to the right parties and organizing these tickets becomes an arduous task. With incorrect information comes the risk of danger. The safety of those involved at the dig sites depend on the accuracy of the locating services.

Our ticket management system, Locator LOGiX, streamlines ticket requests and the state notification center process. The most important component to the system is location accuracy. Our software allows you to precisely mark the right areas, so excavators and construction workers don’t strike valuable assets.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Today, Norfield is reimagining how technology can serve the damage prevention industry and those that work within it.  Our goal is simple, “Drive Safety Through Innovation”.  We believe that this goal is made up of two parts; technology needs to be scalable, seamless, and straightforward and by leveraging information and data we can prevent greater than 90% of errors before they occur.  Norfield’s Continuous Intelligence (CI) Platform called INSiGHT LOGiX is a great example of these two guiding principles.  Using tools and processes that integrate real-time analytics into business operations we can perform automated calculations that recommend specific actions.  By leveraging augmented analytics and real-time data pipelines we are able to reshape how people and technology respond to rapidly changing conditions, eliminating the majority of damages that occur before a request ever goes out to the field keeping workers and the communities they serve safer.
