Below is our recent interview with Jaslyin Qiyu, Managing Director at Mad About Marketing Consulting:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Mad About Marketing Consulting is a full-service, integrated marketing consultancy that partners with C-Suites across B2B and B2C sectors throughout Asia Pacific. Unlike traditional agencies that focus solely on campaign execution, we operate as strategic transformation advisors, addressing the fundamental trinity of marketing effectiveness: people, process, and platform.
Our approach combines management consultancy rigor with deep marketing expertise, enabling us to diagnose and solve systemic challenges that often remain hidden beneath surface-level marketing issues. We work with clients ranging from ambitious startups to established corporations, all united by a common need: maximizing their marketing potential through strategic transformation.
Q: What makes you the best choice? How are you unique?
A: Our differentiation lies in our hybrid methodology that merges marketing advisory with management consultancy principles. While most agencies check the tactical boxes—brand, content, social, martech—we unpack the underlying operational challenges around people, process, and platform that frequently derail marketing transformation initiatives.
This dual expertise, cultivated through decades in global MNCs and consultancy environments, positions us uniquely to elevate marketing from a cost center to a true sales and business enabler. Additionally, our fractional talent model provides clients access to diverse industry expertise at a fraction of traditional agency costs, ensuring both scalability and affordability without compromising quality.
Q: Who is your ideal client and why?
A: Our ideal clients are forward-thinking CMOs and C-Suite executives who recognize that effective marketing transformation requires more than creative campaigns—it demands systematic change. These leaders acknowledge existing operational gaps and actively seek external partnership to address challenges head-on.
We particularly excel with organizations experiencing rapid growth, digital transformation initiatives, or those seeking to optimize their marketing technology stack. Our clients value strategic thinking over tactical execution and understand that sustainable marketing outcomes require investment in foundational capabilities, not just campaign activities.

Q: What can we expect from you in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: The next six months will see continued methodology development and geographic expansion. We’re establishing a Vietnam virtual office in June with local market representatives, enhancing our ability to support clients expanding into or out of Southeast Asian markets.
Operationally, we’re scaling our fractional consultant network, enabling us to handle more complex, longer-term engagements while maintaining our quality standards. This expansion directly supports our goal of building sustainable, impactful client relationships rather than transactional project work.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: What surprises many clients is our commitment to “walking the talk” regarding process, platform, and people optimization. We utilize AI meeting notetakers, advanced project management software, design-as-a-service platforms, and AI research tools throughout our operations—demonstrating the very digital transformation principles we advocate for clients.
Additionally, our genuine commitment to empowerment extends beyond client work. We actively support women’s empowerment and sustainability initiatives, provide mentorship to university students, and maintain an open-door policy for career guidance regardless of someone’s professional stage. This reflects our core belief that business success should create positive ripple effects throughout the broader community.
Our fractional model also enables something unique: we’re building a community of experienced professionals who share our passion and vision, creating a collaborative ecosystem rather than traditional hierarchical structures.
