Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Your body is made to move. As is your laptop. So why not your desk, too? Office work doesn’t have to be a sitting profession. Notadesk’s innovative furniture is designed to boost workers’ (physical and mental) health and productivity. Because healthy workspaces stimulate people to zoom out, broaden their perspective and take sustainable decisions. Which in turn makes for a more sustainable society. The Notadesk is our way of helping to make that happen.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: NOT A DESK, one of Belgium’s most innovative companies designing and making flexible furniture for at home or in the office, has pressed the launch button on Kickstarter for their newest product – NOT A STAND. They want to provide you with a monitor in each room, always at the right height. It’s not just another monitor but uses your existing second screen to improve not only your health, but also your relationships. After one hour, the campaign was fully funded but we are hungry for more. Jump on our wagon and fund our third successful Kickstarter campaign!
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Have you noticed how screen time is affecting quality time with family and friends? Or that your neck and back seem to be hurting more and more while working long hours in the office or at home? Did you know that on average we sit more than 8 hours a day, having 34% more chance of dying early compared to people who sit only 1 hour a day? Time to eliminate all these problems! Here is NOT A STAND, a universal bracket and tripod, easy to install and height adjustable, that allows you to store your screen away at any given moment. The bracket can be connected to more than 90% of all second screens. Just check the back of your screen for 4 holes, watch out, they can be hidden under the current stand.
Make sure the language development for your children is on point by reducing screen time. Normally, a parent speaks about 940 words per hour when a toddler is around. With the television on, that number falls by 770 words! With our product, you can hide the screen when not in use. This makes it less likely to seduce you to start watching when you do not intend to do so. We cannot understand why something as addictive and ugly as a television has the best spot in your living room, can you?
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: NOT A DESK has proven they are here for the long run. To keep on growing we have decided to partner. Soon we will announce a famous influencer with who we will design a custom collection and we are working on a plug and play full office concept together with and high-end architect. The problem we trying to solve is huge, so the possibilities are endless.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: From the classroom to the Red Devils’ locker room
The original Notadesk was launched on the Belgian and Dutch markets at the beginning of 2020. Around 3 000 have already been sold, good for over 200 000,000 euros in revenue. Community high schools placed orders for a Notadesk and Notaboard for its outdoor class. And even the Belgian Red Devils football team uses the Notadesk tripod in their away locker room.
