Below is our recent interview with Lars Peter Svane, the Founder & Business Development Manager at EuroJobsites:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: EuroJobsites started EuroScienceJobs in 2007, focused on PhDs looking for a postdoc or industry opportunities for scientific researchers. EuroEngineerJobs was a spin-off from EuroScienceJobs, and focused on highly specialised engineers in Aerospace, Electronics, Electrical and machanical engineering, with early clients like EUMETSAT and the European Space Agency. Space-Careers was started by Pierre Oppetit in 2004 and was totally focused on Space engineering and the Space industry, and has been the go-to space industry jobsite for senior experts for nearly 20 years.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: Space-Careers was very focused on space engineer jobs, but suffered from an outdated user interface and job alerts. The site has been totally re-vamped, mobile interface, refreshed ultra-customisable job alerts that will make space industry engineers able to find just the opportunities that will help them make a career move despite being experienced and already in a good position, making them able to find an even better and more interesting ad exciting job. Since Space-Careers has now joined the EuroJobsites group, it now has the same high customer service level, detailed feedback and stats, and benefit from the synergies with EuroEngineerJobs, EuroTechJobs and EuroScienceJobs.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Space-Careers was built up by industry insider Pierre Oppetit since 2004 and has become the worst kept secret of the space industry, especially in Europe. Pierre’s knowledge and network is reflected in the network around the site, 10’000 LinkedIn followers, thousands of job alert subscribers and lists jobs from hundreds of small and large space industry companies using the site over the last 20 years to find spacialised experience candidates.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We will do all we can to keep expanding the audience with social media, search and other targeted marketing, presence at industry events, and simply doing a great job and impress the existing audience to keep expanding access to the industry experts, while keeping the jobs advertised interesting enough to keep even not actively jobseeking space industry engineers coming back and reading their job alerts to make sure they don’t miss out on an exciting possibility to take their career to the next level.
