Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Mectronic emerged as a buyer’s guide for the electronics industry in Silicon Valley way back in 1984. We helped the industry grow by providing a comprehensive catalogue of parts that allowed innovators to quickly find the components they needed for new projects.

In 1998 Mectronic.net, Inc reinvented itself as an Online “B2B” Part Search with over ¼ billion parts uploaded from over 500 Industrial Distributors World Wide. With the need to provide online solutions, Mectronic.net, Inc developed hosted online inventory systems, parametric configurators and, competitor cross reference solutions for fortune 1000 Manufacturers.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We have just launched a hosted, secure “Part Search Shopping Cart” solution that allows any supplier to sell parts using their PayPal account. Credit Card acceptance is also available. The solution will include a hosted Admin that allows the seller to control and maintain parts and purchases. The only requirement is for a supplier to send their inventory file. We do the rest! 

We’re also about to launch a BOM (Bill Of Material) solution that allows users to upload any size file of parts and the solution will search our database and auto-respond with a list of Distributors that stock each part. Registered users can send Request Quotes, click on the BUY buttons and store their BOM files on our server for future reference.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Mectronic.com B2B part search offers free registration to all users. There are many features that are stored for future user experiences. Our hosted DIST Stock Check, Parametric Configurator and Cross Reference solutions are fee-based, and pricing varies depending on data requirements. We also provide a comprehensive SEO service with a track record of achieving page 1 search results for the chosen keywords. 

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Mectronic.net, Inc will be launching phase-2 of our Parametric Configurator “Admin” and our Part Search Shopping Cart “Admin” with added features and functions. Together they will add a range of new options for our customers, targeted at reducing time spent managing inventory and making it easier to list and sell products. 

Our goal is always to add more value for both buyers and sellers, and through constant refinement of the processes specific components will be easier to list and easier to find. 

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: I think the inclusion of easy to use, very quick to set up hosted solutions that allow merchants to be up and running with automated listings much faster than they ever think possible. The other thing that often impresses people is our team. We are very lucky to have an extremely talented team who have helped the company grow over the years. What often surprises people is their industry knowledge and understanding, with our customers benefiting from that keen insight, ingenuity, and skill across the service, providing technical support that extends far beyond most expectations.
