Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Advanta Seeds is a UPL seed company that is adapting to rapidly increasing food insecurity and climate change by providing farmers with innovation and new technologies.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We are proud to be recognized by Access to Seeds Index 2021 as one of the top agriculture companies contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our sustainable strategy prioritises responding to the needs of farmers and producing climate-smart and nourishing crops. Advanta Seeds realized that empowering farmers is a great long-term business strategy and a great way to grow and build business resilience.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: We provide highly varied germplasm and its proprietary technology for various field and vegetable crops. Advanta has a few unique technologies in sunflower, corn, canola and sorghum. We are driven by innovation and developing improved crops and new technologies to address global food insecurity as a priority.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Our plan is to continue to focus on food and nutrition security, as well as climate change problems. We invest in climate-smart crops such as sorghum and high-oleic sunflower, as well as innovative technologies including precision agriculture, drone technology, artificial intelligence, and data-driven farming.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Our company is one of a very few global seed companies that has highly diversified portfolio of field and vegetable crops. Advanta Seeds has sixteen field crops, although most seed businesses focus on two. We commercialized over fifty crops in 84 countries. The strength of Advanta is in multicrop and multiproduct offerings in many geographies.
